After pay day, do you actually look at your pay stub? Those of us at SDCCD have to go into PeopleSoft to find it and I go ahead and down load it.

Why is it important?
1. It tells you what you were paid for, how your pay is calculated.
2. Did you substitute for someone? It should show on your paystub
3. At Mesa, the June pay stub included the Office Hours we were paid for the Spring 2019 semester. Did you get paid? If not, did you apply?
4. Do you belong to the union? Is there a deduction for union dues on your paystub? That is a good sign of whether you belong or not
5. What retirement system are you in, or are you even in a retirement plan? All of us are supposed to be in one. Under deductions, you will see the name of the retirement plan.
6. If you are a teacher at SDCCD, there will be no deduction for Social Secuirity.. Other schools, or non-teaching jobs at schools will have a deduction for Social Security.
