Adjuncts – are you teaching this semester? If not, send an email to your Dean and Department Chair making sure that you are interested in teaching next semester, and summer too if you feel your Department will schedule you for summer.
What I have heard in several meetings is that our district, SDCCD, really does not know what will happen next Fall, so scheduling probably will not be done until May or even August. However, you want to make sure they remember you.
In my case, I cannot teach online, and asked for Face to Face courses on campus. I was told that our school will only have lab classes on campus and all others will be online.
If you do not have any class assignments this year, or next year, please consider finding a job, perhaps through a staffing agency (we used to call them Temps) that will serve two purposes: First, pay into Social Security and Second, find a job in the field your students will work in so you can tell them “This is what I am preparing you for.”
